These couplers are designed and manufactured for use in various mining (OP/UG), tunneling, power generation, sea port/shore, and general industry operations to distribute power to mobile /portable electric equipment. Numerous improvements have been integrated into the couplers in order to further increase safety, durability, and reliability in the field.

PRODUCT FEATURES & BENEFITS
- Exclusive “Wedge Pin” type method of phase wire termination ensures a secure contact and connection between conductors and pin/socket contacts
- Stainless steel wire spring band on female sockets ensures a secure and lasting connection between male and female contacts
- Silicon stress-control termination is reusable and provides air-free termination
- Three individual phase insulating tubes
- Phase insulators are made from rigid, thermoset material ensuring durability, heat resistance, and high dielectric strength
- Fully compatible AND inter-mateable with UEE 8kV 250A Couplers

- Durable, powder coated finish (various colours)
- Set screw, solder and crimp style phase wire stems are also available
- Low insertion force style contacts available
- Provisioned for optional leg mounting or coupler handles
- Optional safety feature of the 8 kV coupler is a “Live-Line LED Indication System” that provides an operator with visible indication of an energized coupler
- Optional “key interlock” system is an optional feature in the 8 kV system that prevents coupler disconnection without prior switch house lock out
